PhotoShelter Portfolios. Power finally gets pretty.

We've added a portfolio option to all PhotoShelter websites at no extra charge. Now you can showcase your "best" work without managing (and paying for) a separate portfolio website. Up to ten unique portfolios can be added to a new drop-down menu on your website - portfolio pages are completely distinct from your searchable archive. PhotoShelter portfolios aren't Flash-based, so they support SEO best practices and look great on the iPad too.

Typekit integration. Real fonts with great SEO.

We've integrated with an innovative web technology called Typekit to add stunning fonts to our websites. Before now, fonts on the web were limited and unattractive. Unlike Flash-based websites, Typekit fonts are SEO-friendly and mobile compatible so photographers using many of our website themes now have more fonts to choose from - yet another way to use PhotoShelter to achieve a more distinct look.

Image Height Constraint.
Some limits are good.

Many photographers showcase their work with large 800 pixel images. These look great on screen, except that when you have a vertical image that is 800 pixels high, it's difficult to see it all without scrolling. So we've added a way to constrain the vertical height of the image as a secondary parameter. If you're a manual customization client, you can set it to whatever you want. It's a subtle change, but it actually enhances usability (and enjoyability) quite a bit.
